Hello.

I have been a massage therapist for 25 years.

After having my first two children in my 20’s I took up running having never attempted any kind of physical exertion before.

Running changed my life.

I got fit, lost weight and felt strong. I began to understand energy, the possibilities of my energy.

One year on I was entered in The London Marathon but suffered a minor injury, as a member of a gym I found my way onto a Sports Massage therapist’s couch.

I recovered, ran, finished and enrolled on a massage course.

I studied Swedish massage for a year then Sports Massage.

I had thought I would continue my studies with Physiotherapy or Osteopathy, I studied Chinese Medicine for a year with thoughts of Acupuncture but here I am…still practicing massage, the reality is that this feels like what I am here to do.

I love my work, I don’t need it to be anything more, I think massage is amazing.

I have had the privilege to work with an enormous diversity of people whilst living in London in private practice, with The London Wasps Rugby Club, The Royal Ballet and through home visits.

I moved to Dorset in 2007 and have been very lucky to build a client base in two great clinics, I do some home visits, in London and Dorset and I still have a small involvement with The Royal Ballet.

I returned to parenthood in 2009, I had an education in recovery as my 40 something body returned to full strength, I worked hard at it, for myself, my daughter and to return to work, I had aged, this is when I began to really consider what it means to value physical wellbeing.

I now participate in Triathlons, I keep fit and still nurture the energy I have, to do all the things I want to do and, to an extent, want to take for granted.

I have monthly massage, for me it is an essential, although I believe one a year would be enough..

Now it is time for a website..I have avoided it but realise the necessity because I would like to offer some workshops, I want to spread the word, empower the people, nag and moan to anyone who will listen about the need to take responsibility and look after our incredible body’s, we only get one, we deserve to feel better than most of us do, we should not settle. Nelson Mandela once said “What right do you have not to be magnificent?”

I want to begin The Massage Movement!
